This amazing sighting was photographed by an unknown US Marine over the Somali Desert.
About 40 years back this was published in an Indian weekly called "Blitz".
The description given by the paper said that the face of Christ spread over a distance of nearly 500 miles in the sky.
Hi... I do NOT think this was 40 years back because as a kid I remember reading about this in our paper Deccan Chronicle on April 23 1993... Around 20 years back! What is interesting is that this face is remarkably similar to the actor who played the role of Jesus in the movie Jesus of Nazareth! :D... So as much as I like to believe it is Jesus... Still makes me skeptical! :)
ReplyDeleteit was in feb 92, article appeared all over the world. This happened at the time when there was war in Somalia.

ReplyDeleteI remember reading this with awe in Deccan Chronicle. People were very naïve to believe this nonsense back then.
ReplyDeleteI watched the embroidary works on TV. As I wanted to know how the face of Jesus really looks. God gives the skills. I prayed him to show his face in a way that no human can make it. the name of the place must be in old kannada the meaning must be the face of Jesus. MOGADISHU means in Kannada the face of Jesus . I saw the face in news magazine I thanked Jesus for answering my prayer.
ReplyDeleteThis painting is different from what I had seen in news magazine.
